Testimonials - Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)

I recently saw an advert for your beeswax hand cream in the December 2010 edition of Kitchen Garden magazine.

My little boy Cameron (aged 8) suffers from a painful genetic condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB causes a lot of problems, and one of the effects is hyper dry, flaking skin on the hands that cracks very easily. None of the moisturisers available in the shops are intense enough, so I currently have to smear Cam's hands in 50/50 paraffin ointment then bandage them up every day. This just about works - takes the edge off the dryness anyway - but is terribly greasy, stains all our clothes and leaves smears wherever poor Cam touches.

2 weeks later...

Hi Richard

Thanks very much for the hand and foot cream. We've been using it exclusively over the last couple of weeks - it's far, far nicer than the paraffin we were using before, and it absorbs into the skin beautifully. It's much better to work with than the paraffin - less sticky and messy - but it doesn't soften the dry skin quite as much as the paraffin does.

You mentioned your face and body cream is more intense. Would it be possible to give it a go? I'll be writing a recommendation to the DebRA magazine for the hand and foot cream anyway, as EB comes in different level of severity and there are many people who would benefit from your lovely cream.

Thanks

Bonnie
